Montejaque lies on the edge of a Natural Park, a bird-watchers dream and, particularly in the spring, ablaze with colour from the mass of wild flowers. It is good walking country too, with numerous mule tracks through the hills.

El Corchito
'El Corchito' lies at the lower end of Montejaque, with stunning views of the valley and surrounding mountains.

While retaining its old character, the cottage has been modernised to provide a comfortable kitchen/dining room with full cooker and fridge, fully equipped for four, a split-level sitting area, and a double-bedded room with adjacent shower/toilet. A step across a vine-covered patio is the second, twin-bedded room with adjacent bath/shower/toilet. Ideal for two couples or a family with older children.

There are TV, radio/cassette (BYO tapes), various books and games. All electricity, a Welcome Pack, sheets and towels are included. Outside is a rocky garden (not suitable for young children) with several patios at different levels where trees allow a choice of sun or shade.

Anyone with walking difficulties please note; there is a two-minute walk down to the cottage from the main road, where cars may be safely parked. Remember to pack some flat, rubber-soled shoes!
